The specialist contractor, The Morton Partnership Ltd, has cleaned and prepared the internal and external surfaces ready for installation of the ICCP electrical system which will protect the reinforcing metal bars within the Dome from future decay before the building is re-rendered and made watertight, which is planned for after Christmas.

In the meantime, building contractors, W.S.Lusher & Son Ltd, are to construct the ‘composting’ toilet block, the internal finishing and the general ground works for laying the electricity supply. The next phase will be the assembly of the internal displays and interpretative audio visuals. We have gone out to tender on this and will shortly be appointing a contractor to undertake the work.
